Same day · conflict check. The firm runs the intake against ten years of retained Case Files. Conflicts identified disqualify the retainer; the firm provides a referral.
Within 24 hours · retainer letter. The firm issues an engagement letter naming the Protocol, the lead engineer, the projected fee band, the scope, and the conflict-check result. Counsel returns the letter signed.
Within 96 hours · scene visit. The lead engineer is on scene under chain-of-custody documentation. Sooner where active suppression is involved; up to 21 days where the matter is opened far post-event.
